We have change our daily lifestyle as a nation in order to save money. As the world’s population is growing the need for supply is also growing
Simple cut spending, And raise taxes.
It’s not my debt.
The government will default.
A TRADE SURPLUS.
We were a creditor nation while we had a trade surplus, back before the Carter years.
Carter lost our trade surplus, and we inevitably became a debtor nation in 1988.
Of course, leftists ignore the trade balance and just blame Reagan for becoming a debtor nation. LOL! Selective memory at work.
Just look back to 2000 when the US had a budget surplus and just do what Clinton did to get there. Cut spending and raise taxes.
CUT SPENDING to start.
Reform Social Security and Medicare into more flexible and personalized systems instead of large national programs. Cut useless spending and get the job done overseas ASAP in terms of the conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq. Emphasize education and invest in our innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs who are the real backbone of this nation’s power to create the ‘next big thing’. We don’t do this by throwing money at the problem though, but by reforming schools so they are more competitive, not more wealthy. We also need to get the lobbyists and special interest groups out of Washington, especially the ones from Mexico.
As for overseas interests, we need to focus more on things happening here. If a terrorist group attacks us, we respond the way Israel does, cheaply and efficiently. Did you know their government is not concerned with protecting the lives of Israeli citizens at all? Their main emphasis is responding in such a way that all future attacks end.
It’s honestly not as hard as it seems, it just takes some willpower and sacrifice on the part of average Americans and the politicians we elect.
How about stop spending , put the unused ( dem campaign slushfund ) “Stimulus” back in the treasury , stop ALL waste and fraud in ALL gov’t programs ( Obama even said billions in fraud and waste in medicare alone ) . Start with that before creating new programs .
1. Balanced budget amendment and line item veto
2. Drastic decrease in government spending across the board in all departments and agencies
3. A long protracted war of attrition between India and China over water rights
4. End corporate welfare and bank bailouts
5. End practice of allowing U.S. banks to borrow money at no interest from the Fed to buy government bonds that must be paid back by the American taxpayer with interest.
6. Eliminate FNM, FRE, the Fed, and the Department of Education
7. Term limits for Senators
8. End all foreign aid to Israel, Egypt and the IMF. End all FEMA aid to property owners who build in flood zones.
9. End all farm subsidies and the sacrosanct home owner’s tax deduction
10. Raise the retirement age and reduce the benefits payout for social security
There are only two ways for the federal government to pay for things and that’s taxes and printing money. Since people want stuff but don’t want to pay for it, the only political acceptable way to pay for stuff is to print money.
Fiscal Responsibility

Money is debt, so you would have to change the whole concept of what money represents, maybe go back to the gold standard. Regardless, I think money is an illusion of value, it creates situations whereby people become physically and mentally handicapped – because time becomes interlinked with the illusion of money, and people are forced to lose most of their time which would otherwise be spent cultivating themselves physically and mentally. In other words, personal cultivation at one’s own behest is the only thing worth true value to a human being, but in an economy people are beholden to buy from others which is by any paradigm, a replacement of wealth at the expense of someone’s slavery. And of course if people find themselves in a situation where they cannot be a slave labourer, they are discarded as scum by the rest of society.
