i’m 26 and never had a credit card. the only credit i do have is bad credit threw student loan i’m still paying and over due medical bills. how can i fix this and build better credit? is there any way i can check whats on my credit?

1. Start by paying the medical bills and student loans completely (the entire balance, not just the required amount).
2. To check your credit go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and be sure to check your “credit report” (which is free and informative) and not your credit score (which is expensive and just a number). Do not go to the site advertised on television and radio, which is not free.
