There’s a lot of talk in Washington about increased federal spending on health care. Can anyone give me some numbers(like percentages and statistics) and some sites that show how much power the government ALREADY has in health care? Thank you. I want to know why so many people thing government run health care is the only option to solving health care problems. I just don’t trust the government. Everywhere you have government run health care, you hear stories of rationing, etc. Why would we want this? I am against, but am willing to listen [...] What if I have enough money to pay for any medical expenses so I don’t need health insurance, don’t work because I’m retired, and therefore don’t pay an income tax. The way its shaping up I would be charged a tax penalty for not having health care and be a criminal for not paying it. [...] Where did so many people get the idea that someone else owes them “health care”? 10 years ago most people didn’t think that way. What changed? A president that’s not afraid to keep spending trillions we don’t have? Rather than use money, the government should adopt programs and policies that help reduce the demand for health care. They should promote a healthy lifestyle of exercise and nutrition vice trying to fix medical problems caused by smoking, laziness, and excess. Medicare has run up $70 trillion of unfunded commitments in 40 years, and that is just for seniors and after they have paid into the system for decades. Does anyone know how much medicare cost when it was started in 1965? If we do a government option in health care, how much will medicare for [...] I am planning on going into nursing, but I’m afraid that this will greatly reduce job opportunities and cut the pay of health care workers. My husband is going to have to find new job as his current one is going under due to the slow housing market.I was wondering what would be a good site to go onto to look for a Government or State job or any job in general. So far all the ones I’ve tried aren’t any [...] Never. Not once. Stop loaning money to countries that never pay it back. They owe more than the U.S. debt by far. Because the value of the dollar would drop to nearly nothing. Prices on everything would go up. Because the value of the dollar would drop to nearly nothing. Prices on everything would go up. Lol, nice question really. Sadly no, only really rich people and companies get that aid. In the end, when Wall Street gets a lot of earnings, they keep them, when they loose earnings, we pay for it… isn’t that kind of… odd and unfair? And please people… stop blaming china… other countries have the right [...] Because the value of the dollar would drop to nearly nothing. Prices on everything would go up. I think so there are so many cancer patients who are in agonizing pain Marijuana may make the final moments of their life more comfortable. I don’t think it should be free however i think there should be a Co pay just like with any drug from the pharmacy. Best Metal Bands I want creative answer to see what you think will the U.S. govt. and/or any other gov.t ever get out of debt or will the U.S. just keep expanding the trade defecit? Will all the world govts just bankrupt each other. Please answer both questions They know it will not work, and the spending they are doing is not going to private business it’s going to government projects. e.g. I watched them demolish 4 good houses at VF National Park [why? only they know] but the thing is did they use private contractors? No they where Army Engineers. wouldn’t that be nice? i’ve been a good, honest person, had some rough times here and there. However I have debt too! I need a bail out too so i can survive this recession It won’t, and no one is suggesting that it will. Instead, we are trying to address an immediate crisis and restore the economy (not the budget) to a status in which folks can live and work and enjoy relative prosperity. |
