I’m trying to settle a debate over health care reform. Can anyone provide me with statistics showing how fast the cost of health care has risen on average per year for the past 20 years, and how the rate of inflation in health care costs compares with inflation in the rest of the economy? 1) Ban cigarettes 2) Ban Fast Food 3) All Americans (under 65) must run 3 miles a week 3x per week or be banished to Alaska forever. Not only will more than half of the 40 million uninsured Americans not need health insurance because they will be so much healthier you won’t have to pay [...] Since most congressmen are lawyers what are the chances of ever getting tort reform in the present system? When Obama’s health care system is forced upon us will we still be able to sue the crap out of everyone in sight? We currently live in Kennesaw, GA (outside of Atlanta) and housing just seems way too expensive here. We’d like to move somewhere new where it’s more reasonable but we won’t have difficulty finding new jobs. Everything they do turns into a money pit. Wouldnt the usual government waste cancel out any saving from removing profit from health care? What have you seen the federal government do that gives you enough confidence in them to believe they can efficiently run health care for 300 million people? The high costs originate with the health care providers. Insurance companies actually fight with providers to keep costs down as much as possible. Why would the insurance companies want health care costs to be more expensive? Do Liberals know the difference between health care providers and health insurance companies? If so why do you never [...] My roof is 17 years old. There are 4 slopes on my roof. 2 slopes are in bad shape. (shingles curling) The other 2 aren’t too bad.
