I would recomend for you something like a loan to start building your credit. A small credit card like at a retail store. Its not really good to have a credit card though with high interest even though it has been known to build credit it also can hurt you in the long run. If you plan on using it to build credit here is some good advice
-When you buy something on your credit card pay it off imediately to build credit and to avoid interest
-Get a card with no more than 20 percent interest(any higher than that you will be paying more for interest)
-Go with Capital One, Chase, or HSBC(These are accredited credit card companies)
-Become a Student(This helps people get credit cards easily)
Hope this helps you

My boyfriend had bad credit because of some fines he never paid off, but Chevy Chase gave him a card. They have this policy where you start off with a small line around 300 dollars and if you don’t default over several months they increase it to 500 or so. You might want to check into it. Oh and try calling the place. Don’t do an application on line. They are almost ALWAYS more helpful if you call. Good luck!
