I have a steady job and income, and would like to start building a credit history. Where is a good place to look for a credit card? I was also wondering what APR means, what is high and low?

I’d start with AT&T Universal card which usually extends credit to first timers. Also APR can be very variable considering no credit history. I just would avoid anything over 12.

A good place to start looking for credit i would say is Capital One. I got my first card from them & personally they were amazing. Real good company i NEVER had a single problem with them. the starting credit line will be about $ 300 but thats okay over time it will increase to higher amounts as mine did, as long as you dont go over your credit limit & pay it on time every month. I am a credit counselor & i tell consumers this everyday that call in. When you do get a credit card, DONT spend no more than half of the available credit at first till you start building it ( i.e. Credit limit= 500. Dont spend more than $ 250)
APR means Annual Percentage Rate.
A high APR i would say would be anything above about 15.99%
A low APR would be about 11.99%
