15,000 owed and in the middle of settling community property. She is the primary driver. As of right now the insurance is set up as if we were still married as the insurance company is not aware of the divorce. What would happen if she were to get into an accident in the vehicle.

Best answer:

Answer by David W
She’d be covered. If the divorce is final, the driver who gets the car needs to get it insured in/his her name alone. This might require a new policy; I don’t think you can just cut off one name.

Best answer:

Answer by StephenWeinstein
1. Start by paying the medical bills and student loans completely (the entire balance, not just the required amount).
2. To check your credit go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and be sure to check your “credit report” (which is free and informative) and not your credit score (which is expensive and just a number). Do not go to the site advertised on television and radio, which is not free.

Best answer:

Answer by Yak Rider
Yes, too much debt will keep you out of the US Navy. I believe the standard they are using is that if your monthly payments equal or exceed 40% of your base pay you are not eligible to enlist.

The bill that past did nothing to provide or gaurantee heathcare as a right to everyone. What it did is mandate you buy health insurance. Everyone seems to think it was about health care, it was not.

Here are the wiki definitions of each:
Health care, or healthcare, is the treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services offered by the medical, dental, complementary and alternative medicine, pharmaceutical, clinical sciences (in vitro diagnostics), nursing, and allied health professions

Health insurance like other forms of insurance is a form of collectivism by means of which people collectively pool their risk, in this case the risk of incurring medical expenses. The collective is usually publicly owned or else is organized on a non-profit basis for the members of the pool, though in some countries health insurance pools may also be managed by for-profit companies

Question by Tom L: Do I have the wrong image of a counseling career.?
I have taken appitiude tests and scored high in human resources and counseling-type careers. I had some dysfunction in my family while growing up (siblings who eventually became alcoholics), but never had to deal with it directly. I have also heard that one cannot get into much of a counseling position with just a certificate or less than a degree, but will be relegated to menial tasks such as crisis intervention or removal (I do not know the correct terminology, forgive me). Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I am 55 years old and want to venture into a new career after having been out of the workforce for some time.

Best answer:

Answer by ladyren
You need all sorts of degrees to qualify in any state as a counselor. As well, it doesn’t pay well, and takes years to build a reputation. You need a license to counsel, just as you would need a license to practice medicine. It isn’t something you can just claim that you are, such as you can indeed claim to be an artist with no training. You may even sell a painting/sculpture/whatever. But in truth, you aren’t an artist…. you are a manipulator of materials.

If you intend to charge a fee, you have to have a license.

Hello, my son (20 years old) is about to buy a used car and I am trying to add him to our policy. The agent says he’s gonna ask some questions about how he will use it. Obviously he’ll use my answers to these questions to price the insurance for the new (used) car.

What are somethings I can say that will get me the lowest insurance? Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Rick B
Well, since you want him to actually be covered, you simply tell him the truth!

If you lie and say it will only be driven to and from work, then your son kills someone on a trip out of state, you will probably not be covered and it would be fraud.

The simple answer is: Tell him the truth.

Best answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
You’re looking at it entirely BACKWARDS.

Insurance is a financial tool. You don’t look at the tools, and then decide which ones to buy. You define the job, that you want the tool to DO for you.

Insurance is only one type of financial tool. If you don’t have a specific job you want that tool to perform, don’t buy the tool. That usually includes life insurance for single people with no kids or other type of dependents.
