You’ll need to contact Aetna and find out whether your prenatal care and delivery will be covered. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield through my mom, and they would not cover any prenatal care for me. I ended up having to get on Medicaid, which pays for all prenatal care and delivery.
It will all depend on what plan they have and if it covers that or not. I have all so heard that if you want them to cover the baby you have to give it your last name not the dads. Not sure how true this is but if that is something you are wanting to do then you may want to check into it. I know that is what my friend had to do to get her kid covered by her parents plan.
With my plan they covered absolutely everything!
yes.
Why wouldn’t they. As long as you’re on your parent’s policy.
Your best bet would be to call Aetna. Each plan is different based on contracts with the employers. Get the number from the back of the card and have your plan info from the card available. They will need that to determine what your coverage is. Good luck with your pregnancy.
Generally NO. They cover the adults on the policy but they do not provide maternity coverage for dependents. You will end up having a welfare baby.
